Clutch Break-in
I just had my whole clutch/flywheel assembly replaced because of the clutch shudder problem. I am assuming that you shouldn't ride aggressively on a brand new clutch. How long is the recommended break in on a clutch?

What is clutch shudder? What does it feel like? Also, is this a know issue with the WRX's? Lastly... how much does this cost to fix.. I was always under the impression anything with gears, trasnmission is $$$$ :-(
Thanks :-)

You're fine as long as you aren't lookin' to top out 100mph when you exit your garage. hahaha. But yea I heard about the shudder problem.. Maybe I should just act on it now? I always see threads on it...

The clutch shudder feels like just that, a shuddering clutch. You'll know it when it happens. It is really sporadic though, some days it does it and others it doesnt. You will know when it happens, almost like your car is having a seizure. Most dealers wont do anything for you unless they can drive the car and feel it themselves. It's a significant overhaul too; clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, you name it. Its a big $$$ thing, so that is why most dealers are being dicks about it.
