Unhappy Chatter/Knocking sounds when turning? -05 STI

Howdy folks, couldn't find anything that covers this.

Every now and then, coming from a stop with the wheel turned left or right, I will get a chatter from below the car as if something is knocking or caught. This does not happen in any gear, just in 1st from a stop. Even happened the other night as I crept onto my driveway!

Anyone else experience this? I heard it could be my diff kicking in, but all 4 wheels are planted on solid surface? Please let me know..thanks.

Does it only happen with the steering wheel turned all the way to left or right lock? If so, what happens if you back off the wheel a bit?

Just a guess here, but that sounds like a diff issue.

it only happens when the wheel is turned more than 90 degrees, from a stand still. It NEVER happens when the car is already rolling above 10MPH.

I'm noticing another noise coming from below the car, mainly after I installed a vishnu turboback. My suby makes noises. =P

Mine knocks, too, right underneath my seat after I installed my dp...I just need to adjust the downpipe cuz it's riding too close to the transmission crossmember and when I turn the wheel a ways or turn the ignition off it chatters.

Chatter while turning... sounds like CV joints. Too easy, right?

Does your WRX have an aftermarket Swaybar? When turning left my swaybar was barley touching the frame and it was popping like a CV Joint.
