I talked with my engine builder. They have a super powerful suby. Once, they slapped on a 5-spd tranny just for fun on the dyno and ran it full power. At ~ 350whp, the case literally opened up and dumped all the tranny fluid out.
5-spd cases are weak. They are weak and they will break any gears you put into them given time.

Over here it's 3rd gear that is the one that breaks with torque, if it was the case flex that was to be blamed, I'd think 1st or 2nd would be the issue?
My PAR synchro...which is doing fine, with ALOT of abuse, with a tad more than stock power (not to mention the extra stress it gets from that Modena torsen diff there...).
