Anyone running two different kinds of fluid?
I'm thinking of running a syn in the rear diff since its enclosed and seperate from the transmission (read: NO SYNCHROS). Then running the stock fluid in the front, since people are getting problems w/ syn & their synchros.

That's what most people seem to be doing. Although some have been running Redline, and maybe Motul/Neo, with no problem in the transaxle.
Although it is fine running dino in the rear diff.too.

All i can say is DO NOT USE SYNTHETIC! I changed my tranny fluid in FWD Liberty when i bought to Motul Gear 300, the problem of hard shifting was still there and actually got worse after a couple of weeks, i was about to spend big on fixing my synchro's, then i heard people telling me to try a non-synthetic as synthetic may be too slippery for the synchro's. So i called Subaru and asked them what oil they use at the factory, its called Castrol Multitrax 75w-90. It made such a difference, now when im racing i can do a swift change into 2nd without it crunching. And the Castrol oil only cost me 1/3 of what the motul did.

if you mean different fluids in the tranny vs. the rear diff, then there's no problem with that.
i use mobil 1 in both, but i "cut" the tranny fluid with 33% pennzoil syncromesh fluid. it eliminates the "grind" issues with slippery synthetic MT fluid.
