Aftermarket shifter bushing questions...
I had the Cobb d.a.s.s. with bushings installed on my STI a couple of months ago. I've noticed that the main benefit from the bushings is the increased stability in shifting when driving hard, however, shifting from 1st to 2nd when the engine and tranny are cold is VERY difficult, and there is also the increased noise of the transmission. So my questions are, would there be a difference noticed if I replaced the Cobb bushings with Kartboy bushings? Also, is there a REAL difference between the bushings company designated (either Cobb or Kartboy) as 5 speed and the ones designated as 6 speed?
p.s. never had to deal with this on my old bugeye since it came with the STI s.s. from the factory, whereas the STI did not, and the appeal of the dual adjustability of the Cobb was too great
