ACT Clutch Problems

I am having some problems on my 95 impreza push type clutch after we swaped in a EJ20g and we used my old ACT clutch and stock 1.8 flywheel(clutch worked great before the swap)

Symptons

Clutch will not FULLY disengage Making shifting while car is running a hard/almost impossible task. dont even think about going into reverse.

What could cause this? The pilot bearing looked okay. The throw out bearing looked fine.

When we put in the engine it felt like it could have been held up on the input shaft on the tranny, but then went in all the way and the tranny and engine mated with a bit of effort. There was a bit more struggeling with this engines than my previous swaps.

Here is what I know:
There is no binding in the clutch linkage. I have tried to adjust the clutch, but that did not help it just made the clutch grab higher in the pedal throw.

I will most likely tear into it this weeked, but I want some input so I know what to look for.

Also We did not have the clutch centering tool so I just "eyeballed" it, although I kept on doing it over and over to make sure it was right.

Could it be:
Warped disc(not sure what would cause this)
Bent diaphram arms(possibley from not having the centering tool?)
Pilot bearing(could this fall out? I doubt it)
Throwout bearing(I only touched it to inspect the condition)

Any input would be great just throw some ideas out.
Thanks
Rick

Also I belive this is the ACT Stage 1 or "street" clutch. Does it use the stock disc(it looks like it)?

yeah. bleed the slave (Super Blue!) and don't play with it next time! Also, jack up the tranny so it faces out at like 45. I'm sure you might have done this already but just incase. It will make life so much easier.
