Question About to hit about 294WHP on 93oct

Hi, I'am in the middle of completing a project with my 06 WRX MT5. I'am going to be upgrading to a TD05H 18G along with all the other necessary changes. Cobb tells me the stock clutch will hold. I would be at about 360hp to the crank. Does anyone out there think this might be to close for comfort? Its it totally insane to do a clutch upgrade in your garage with no lift and a few floor jacks? I'am no stranger to this kind of labor, but never on a AWD vehicle. Your opinion is most appreciated!!!

All references made from Cobb FP18g 93oct map notes & dyno chart on there website.

About to means nothing to most people. Every car is different.

As for your clutch deal. You stock clutch will hold it as long as you don't plan on doing 6k drops and launching all the time.

doing clutch swaps at home is not impossible without a lift. It is however very very difficult.
The 2 ways to do a clutch swap are to drop the tranny and to pull the motor/tranny. It's kind of hard to drop a tranny with no lift.

if you have a jack that can get up 19" you can get the front of the car up high enough. if you have a few extra hands it helps. Me, stge2lgcy00, dan2304k, and one other person helped sonic_yellow pull the tranny from his JDM swapped L and we had it out in just under an hour.

That was when he did it him self. ;P

Plus it was just pulling the transmission out, not replacing the clutch. That part isn't too hard from what i've read, just easy to screw up.

The only part I had trouble with was realizing you have to pull out the rail that holds the pivot arm for the throw out bearing, once I pulled it out the tranny came right out. I think we started on a saturday and I finished on monday morning, in my garage with jack stands. It wasn't my first subaru transmission though, my friend also lost some teeth on his 98 2.5rs and now his vf34 powered wrx ate up it's second transmission that we know of.
