6 spd Questions
What up scooby fans. Im new to the area and have a few questions. First my Dad owns his own body shop and my luck just came through....... Some one wrecked their STI and he got it salvaged for cheap. SO can a 6 speed sti tranny go directly into an 04 WRX??? I don't know but Iwant to try!!! Any ideas would be great!!!
Thanks,
CAL

Yes it can, but you will need a different driveshaft and rear diff. Or you could take the rear end and driveshaft off the sti and swap it on to yours. That's what I did.

6 speed drops right in. Driveshaft/rear end is what needs changing. Get an STi driveshaft or automatic driveshaft (they are both the same) For the rear end you can either swap in a 3.90 ring and pinion into your existing differential or buy the complete sti rear end (r180 diff, axles, hubs, brembos)
