4EAT Torque Technique

What is your Torque Technique on Stage 4 with no high stall converter!? I have a higher stall converter coming soon

Until then what's the best way to launch?

Just mash the gas and brake at the same time. With the stock T/C your only going to see about 3,200 RPM's. With the upgraded T/C you'll lanch the same way but will be able to reach 4,200-4,500 RPM's. You'll also want to do the T/C Lock-Up mod and a ATF Cooler.

Ok I just thought that there might be ANOTHER way to launch the car since the stock TC doesn't get rid of the lag of the VF30. Currently I have run 13.9 @ 98MPH on the stock turbo with just intake, cat-back exhaust, downpipe, uppipe and boost controller.

Do you or anyone else out there build boost off the line? if so how much boost on stock TC?

The way to really "launch" try this...first pump the brakes to build up pressure and then hold them. Next put the car in Drive 2. Step on the gas to build "RPM" to "your" stall speed. At the same time release the brake and drop the "selector to Drive 1" and then hold on

The best place to shift is where your engine/mods stop making power and no, do not go to drive. Please believe me when I say, If you use the technique I proposed "correctly" you will have the fastest and easily repeatable starts possible with the 4eat. Your next step is to get a "Phantom Grip" limited slip for your tranny (about $300 shipped)...have you changed to Irridium spark plugs?
Sorry wrong forum

well, probably one of the biggest parts of the stage 4 that you are missing is VF30 turbo. now im confused

arent u a little worried running around with 19lbs of boost on a stock turbo/fuel system? i want to see what this setup runs with 15.5-16lbs
