The trannys are not bad. Its all about how you drive it. In some cases they might be bad from the manufacturer but majority of the problems arise from driver abuse. I know several people with HP levels way over stock on their WRXs and their trannies are holding up fine... most are over the 30K mark already.

only they told me they looked at the clutch and flywheel and that they were fine, but 500miles later the clutch was burned to nothing.

anyways, check out the link on the i-club home page to the law firm investigating the problems

hopefully we will all get what we should have gotten from the dealerships in the first place
