Car Info: 1993/2000/2001 GF4 mostly red
Check your air filter first, then your spark plugs. Any CELs? It's not your transmission unless your RPMs are rising when your speed is not.

It's easier to wear out a clutch on an AWD car than a 2WD. I didn't have either of my OEM clutches for more than 35k miles (in fact the replacement was only on the car for about 5k) so I can't compare my wear to yours.
