WRX vs. Cobra
#17
I'll beat more than a couple late model GT/s and Cobras but not the SVT Corbra supercharged always looking for one on the late night hunts from Corona CA. (Blk STi catback Ingen custom STi intake). I have a 89 SCGT 11sec car WRX had be trailered to have a chance.

I have both a 2001 Cobra and a 2002 WRX.
The Cobra has X-pipe (2 cats), Cat-back, 3.73 gears, underdrive pulleys, intake, Diablo chip, MAF, and Motorsport throttle body.
The WRX has Perrin Up-pipe, Custom fabricated downpipe w/ 1 high-flow cat, HKS midpipe, HKS cat-back, and Blitz SUS short-ram intake.
The Cobra is much faster...(It can take a C5 vette with only a driver, with 2 200+ lb. guys in the Cobra).
However, my buddy had a 1996 Cobra with an off-road (no cats) H-pipe and Flowmasters. If I got him off the line, I could beat him. From a rolling start, he took me every time. We're both pretty good, pretty equal drivers.
Soooo...in conclusion, and to say what everyone else has said, I think you could take him.
