My 17'' Prodrives weigh 22lbs each. I know there costing me a tenth or two but I hate the stock wheels. They may work good for drag racing but thats it. Try going around a turn at high speeds with those tires.

I've run many 1.7x with my 17'' tires . It can be done. You may want to check your tire pressure. If you want more wheel spin add some pressure. If you want more traction drop the pressure. I make runs with pressure as low as 25psi in my front tires when I was having trouble hooking up. It really helped.
Lately I'm getting way to much wheel spin. My last run down the strip I had 1.86 which sucks for me. The next time I go to the track I'm going to drop the pressure in my front tires.
