60' times is all about the launch. You can pull a 1.8 60' on a stock car if you do it right, and a 2.2 60' ona modified car if you do it wrong.
Just practice slipping the clutch, rather than flat out dumping it. I've used both methods and slipping provides the most consistant results, while flat out clutch drops at 6800RPMs is just asking for a new tranny.

I've run many 1.7x with my 17'' tires . It can be done. You may want to check your tire pressure. If you want more wheel spin add some pressure. If you want more traction drop the pressure. I make runs with pressure as low as 25psi in my front tires when I was having trouble hooking up. It really helped.
Lately I'm getting way to much wheel spin. My last run down the strip I had 1.86 which sucks for me. The next time I go to the track I'm going to drop the pressure in my front tires.

Thanx for the advice (cause i know its good)
But I usually dont even bother with tire pressure
Maybe thats why
I honestly run my car in STREEEET street trim. Same way I pull into the track I run my numbers...
Basicly because I'm lazy, but also because I know that extra little bit is still there and thats always a good thing
LoL... I save adjusting the tire pressure for Import day For when i wanna go ALL OUT

wheni made that pass i had made 2 previous ones each resulting in high 13 second runs. i had only be at TXS STG 4 since the day b4. My best 60' is a 1.64 in stock tires at 10 psi in them on the stock clutch. Mwhen the 1.7 pass was made the tires had 32xxx miles on them and they are completely bald.less than a mm of tread. i love my RE-92 please donate yours!!

why don't we all get a centralized place to post our quarter mile times so we can have an up to date place to show our improvements with driving skill and mods....
i see that www.SubaruStore.com has a 1/4 section that doesn't seem to be used very often, if we could hook up with them and get them to update the 1/4 mile times and mods in a real time mode then it might be helpful and informative for everyone to see what can or needs to be done to our cars to run specific times, just a thought
It looks as if they could also set it up to display the picture of the car running the time so that is even more of a plus.

I just came across a ton of slips from the years past.
Does anyone know of a good program to use to store them digitaly (for lack of a better term)
Something that I could easily put them in order... From date, best ET, MPH etc...
Anyone got any ideas?
