impreza 2.0R 2006
That's good, i wanna ask about intake air system for impreza 2005,, if I can fix it in 2006 because the air mass sensor for 2006 beside the filter air box (front engine) but for 2005 is behind the engine,, So I think i can fix the intake from 2005 to 2006 but will change the sensor place (will be behind the engine) I ask so many technician people nothing will happen...
other thing ....I found turbo for impreza 2002 to 2005 for engineEJ20 & EJ25 (safely on stock engine) it's coming 6 PSI with all kits check this site : http://www.turbo-kits.com/impreza_turbo_kits.html
But I don't know if i can fix it on my car...please check an inform me..

Nice hearing you Farran!
We missed you
True, any reason for buying the NA model?
Any aftermarker intake would keep the stock MAF. What you should do is to place the filter with a K&N high flow or just get rid of the box and add a filter with a maf plate adaptor. THats what I am going to do to mine.
Turbo can work, but the ecu is teh problem, but it can be done. Can you do a swapped or get and sti?

I understand that the STI ECU is use thorugh the models for all Euro models. I am not sure if this is true for your models.
CHeck with the WRX, STI guys and see.
The problem maybe the wiring.
Now since you have a manual, it should not be a problem to get the hydra to work for you.
Check out elementtuning.com
Any lightweigh rim would do with the offset around 44mm.
Will you get a dyno for me? Also pm me your msn or yahoo id.

hey guys...
I'm from Kuwait... and I'm about to get the 2.0R... But the 160hp sounds too little.
What do you think? will a cat-back increase the hp? I don't plan to spend much cash on the modding... sooo....
btw I was offered the Impreza for 5,500 KD. That comes with WRX wheels, seats, moonroof, rear spoiler, CD changer, and manual tranny.

I talk w/ one you yor country men and he told me there still sell the 2004+ wrx there. buy that.
To get more power out of a non-turbo take a lot of money and the gains are very small.
Similar to my work, you will net additonal 10+ all around. as much ad 20 in some places.
Advice, do a swapped or get a wrx.

are you nuts, a 160hp out of 2litter is too little?? with just bolts-on you will almost get 200hp without even turboing it....

I have the 120hp version and still I can keep up with the new camry up to 180 km/h which is good if you compear 120hp impreza to ~170hp camry.
if you want more power get the WRX, it got turbo power and it is cheaper than the STi.
I know that in kuwait they sell the S2000, RX-8, Evos, Zeeds, so why you don't have the Sti in kuwait !!

Believe it or not, there get the scale down power like the rest of the world. Japanese are terrible.
One would though that since there have high octane, there would have JDM models. Nah.
I understand from the guys that the STI is coming soon, like in the next 2-3 months.

Here in Australia we have the Impreza 2.0R with a 118kW/186Nm DOHC AVCS NA engine.
There are no K&N filters available for it... actually not many mods at all except exhaust and suspension.
Oh, there is a Powerchip that gives it 134kW.
