Help with 6 speed tranny swap

I need some help on the 6 speed tranny swap, I have all this 6 Spd Trans Front/Rear Axles, Mounts, Shifter, Flywheel w/Clutch, Drive Shaft, Rear DCCD Control ECU, DCCD Switchs w/Pulgs, and hubs. I think thats all I need. But with the DCCD I'm not sure how to set that up, or make it work can someone help me figure this out. Thanks

do you have a r180 rear end, if not you need that and for your dccd to work properly some wiring needs to put in your harness for the dccd control unit or the transmission will default to 65/35 ratio (but there are prefabed harness just do a search)

you will need the dccd control unit or else your center diff will act just like an open diff (happened to me)
that harness isn't that hard to hook up ... call rallispec they were alot of help to me.
there's basically 4 wires that you have to connect together ... 2 to the tranny and one or two to the parking brake.

make sure you get a 3.90 ring and pinion for your rear end.
the stock is a 3.73 in the rear and a 3.9 in the front .... and the stock center is a 1:1.1
the 6-mt center is a 1:1 so you need to swapout the rear ring and pinion.

I did this swap on my '02 without swaping out axels. All I swaped was the tranny, clutch, flywheel, driveshaft, ring and pinion. I added the DCCD control unit after we determined that the DCCD acts like an open diff w/o the control unit.

hope this helps

This is true, I've installed the Neetronics DCCD Controller in a couple cars, it works quite well. I'd say it's an easier route to take over the stock one.

Just thought I'd mention that the stock rear diff is 3.54 and 3.90 in front, with the 1.1:1 center makes the rear 3.90 overall to match the front.

You can buy complete 3.90 rear diffs that were used in other Subaru's and either swap your Viscous LSD from your WRX or trade up to an aftermarket one or go open as well.

Just my $.02
