EJ22e to EJ22te.
Hi there,
I am trying to change some diffencies in my stock 93 Legacy L. I would like to try swaping our the EJ22e for the EJ22te. It sounds simple enough, but I was worried about the little things. First, would it bolt up? I know they are almost the same. The turbo engine has the pull type clutch, but if I used the stock "L's" clutch setup, would it bolt to the stock trany. I would use new part, just for the stock EJ22e. Second, would the trany be able to handle the turbos power? The trany of the turbo Legacy is different from that of the "L" in atleast gear ratio. Last, is it really worth all the trouble. I hear that with a little work that the 22e can be pritty snappy. Just looking for some help. Thanks.
