Question EJ or EZ implant -help request

Hello,

I am considering a subaru mid-engined kit car and would like know the details of the complete drivetrain size.
Interesting dimensions are
1. Front to rear (total length from front of engine to rear of gearbox)

2. The most important is the distance from the axle line to the front of the engine.

Lastly, this is for a pretty light car so I will start off with normally aspirated EJ25 or perhaps EZ30 (depending upon size availability and price). Long term it would be important to at least have a route to higher power.
The gear box needs to be FWD preferably with an LSD???

Thanks in advance
Mike

might want to look into a VW bus trany or a porsche trany with a adapter because a trany from a impreza is 21.5" from the front of the motor to the center of the front axle and it shouldnt be longer than 49" combined but i didnt jack the car up or anything just felt where the end of the trany was and guessimated but should be close enough

you wont find a stock FWD tranny with a LSD in it but you can buy a after market one for a AWD trany

as for engines a EJ25 can be turboed but will break with improper tuning if i where you i would go for a cut harness motor for http://www.nippon-motors.com/
and run it with Megasquirt would most likely be the cheapest and easist solution
