Only reason I wont just go buy 1 is because this is going to be my project with my Father.

I think its a great idea. I'm sure there more info at RS25.com,

The GC8 model is probably one of the best designs subaru has made, and if you get the swap done, it'll be a great car. Good luck with the project!

You seem like you made up your mind. Here is a little information about the swap. Putting in all the parts, that's the easier part. What is going to really make or break you guys is the wiring. There are resources online, probably on RS25.com that will be most helpful. As for the wiring, you have a few options.

1) splice the harnesses (combine your L harness with the WRX harness)
2) pay someone to do it (East Coast Swappers)
3) run a standalone (like Link ECU)

Sadly, all three ways are expensive or time consuming.

Make sure you are prepared.

Here is salvator_rizzo's project that he is working on. Gives you an idea what type of work that you'll be encountering.

yeah, go to rs25.com guys there are really helpful. There is step by step wire harness merge post. You might want to look in to that. That would be the most time consuming part. A lot of people don't bother with the merging and send it to ecs or garage tuning to get it professionally done for around $900. Or you can just pm them with any questions and they'll prolly help you out.
