Blew my engine, could use some help on replacing or swapping, please!
Hey guys, thanks for helping me out:
I hardly post because quite frankly, i just don't have the money to to anything to my car outside exhaust and intake, but i've hit a bit of a snag...
I own a 2000 Subaru Legacy GT EJ25, with 178,000 miles on it (yes, i LOVE to drive). But I have since blown the engine (rod bearing and main bearing, owie ). So here's my question: I can get another EJ25 for $2,000, but I'm seeing alot of EJ20T's and TT's for less on ebay motors and JDMexchange.com. Soooo, how much more work would it actually be to swap an EJ20TT into my car? Is the electrical really that hard? This is the engine i'm interested in:

So, 2 grand plus 500 for install, or 1100 for a better engine, but at what cost to install? Do i need to make sure it has the ECU and wiring harnesses intact, and if so, how difficult would it be to install? What engine codes can fit into my car other than the EJ25? I could really use the help because my car really needs to get back on the road, and i'm figuring at this juncture, if i'm spending the money for a motor, why the heck not just go for broke and get some speed out of it? Thanks for the input.
