Which flavor of Redline oil was being used?
because i've had it in my car and several others that I know personally that have had it in their subarus as well as evo's and have had nothing but bad luck or the transmission was better without it.
sorry if you have some technical or data to back it up but if others have had problems with it that I personally know, I will stay away from it and promote fluids that I have seen first hand to work well and solve small transmission issues. I had a few little hiccups in my tranny and throwing in motul not only helped the issues but made the transmission shift 10x smoother than stock fluid.

Interesting. I just know that Jon Burke runs it in his rally car.
I guess run amsoil then. Apparently Ryan (wrxisthebest) and I still have rally sponsorship from them for discounted oil. Shhhaaweet!

I hate to add fuel to the fire but according from Red Lines website: the "75W90 NS GL-5 Gear Oil Popular in Ferrari, Porsche and Subaru transaxles" and the same is available on popular aftermarket websites like rallysportdirect, and cobb. And I cant find any info on what type of Motul. Red line website: http://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?pid=47&pcid=7

I use Motul Gear300 for the transmission and Motul 90PA for the rearend.
I believe I used redline 75w90NS for the tranny and 75w90 for the diff, i might have had that swapped, forget which it was but it was whatever was recommended.
