Just want to make a remark on that piccy, top mount or front mount regardless, wth would you put the reverse hood scoop right in front of the hood scoop, stupid thinking and design like that defeats the whole purpouse of the reverse scoop by just taking the air in right thru the hood scoop, cant see how it cools the engine bay.....

I love this thread haha. There is a civic I have seen everyday after work for the last few weeks. It has a huge aluminum wing like that saturn with the blue front bumper gauges on the a pillar, stock hieght if I remember right stickers on the back but the best part is The trailer hitch!!! haha. And I dont mean the reciever I mean this thing has a hitch on it full time. Its even the one that goes out and way up to compensate for the low height of the car. I will try my best to get a pic of this.

i had another fun one come thru tb after work a few days ago. Black hatch with what i could swear looked like the stock muffler on my car mounted like a side exit n1 canister right behind his rear wheel. Must have been a muffler job from a local shop, it was interesting. The funniest part was that it was primer black, but he primed it before he did the bondo work, so it looked like a damn chess board, i swear....oh and his altezzas were busted out. It barley ran as well, either some really aggressive cams, or just shoddy maintenance, my guess is the latter.

It's part of the $15k+ prodrive kit that they use on the WRC subaru's and have been using on them for a while now so it must serve some kind of important purpose...but know knows, Prodrive may just be into ricing stuff up. lol but I doubt it.

Hold up man, no need to get jumpy or ticked at me, ok? I am not a aero engineer, nor very well educated on the way it works, and my comment was a bit overboard, that much ill admit. With my limited info on the matter it just doesn't seem right to me, it would seem to me that the hot air coming out of the reverse scoop would then follow the flow of air over the hood and right back into the scoop. Now i know the prodrive car is front mount so that thought may not be an issue, it just seems in a straight line to be a bit counterproductive, however i'm sure its a different case awdrifting thru a turn at like 70 or whatever speeds they bend the curves at.

Anyways back to the thread, has anyone noticed the huge amount of riced out civic hatches that tend to show up around here during the summer?

Its all good bro. I aint mad achya. I posted that pic cuz I thot the car looked pretty thats all. Your observation of the hood design makes perfict sence however I'm sure it serves a pupose or maybe its jus made to look agressive. In any case that hood and many others in similar design are being used by the WR industry so I'm jus gunna take theyr word for it.

And yes I have noticed an excessive amount of Honda "eggs" rollin around. Jus drove by a caravan of them lastnight on my way to X-fest.
