i just put a catback exhaust on my 08 sti, jus wondering how much louder it would be if i took the cat off.

it will be pretty loud catless. but if ur catback came with a resonator, it will be only...loud. well not too loud IMO haha.

something that helps mellow the exhaust tone, into not makin it so loud, but more smoother sounding.

Most Aftermarket Catback Exhaust systems already come with a resenator already installed in the MidPipe

Catted Downpipes are much more expensive than a Catless Downpipe. But do some research bro, you will find answers to all of your questions
