(SoCal) 1968 Ford Mustang Original
1968 Ford Mustang 289 V8 Auto.
Color: Lime Gold w/ Black Leather Hardtop
Mileage: 42,000 original miles
Price: $12,000
This car is almost completely original. I am the second owner of the car and I hate to sell it but I am in the market for a condo and need the money for a down payment.
This car was originally purchased in California in 1968 by a couple, then in 1973 they transferred the ownership to their son. The transfer pink slip lists the car as '73 but it is a 68. I still have the original pink slip. It also has the original black license plates which were discontinued in 1970. The car is smog exempt and registered till July 09. At the time of transfer the car had about 30k miles on it, and since then the previous owner kept it mostly garaged. It now has only 42,000 all original miles. The engine is in amazing shape. It purrs and kicks over first try every time and runs beautifully. The interior is all original and includes the stock AM radio which still works. It does need a little tlc but over all its in great shape. There is virtually no rust anywhere on the entire car. The chrome trim pieces need a little work and have a few rust spots, but those are easily repaired. The car is a hard top and the roof is lined with black leather look material which is immaculate. The car was repainted by the previous owner with the same original color (Lime Gold). I have replaced the battery and starter motor since both were really old and the started had seized up. The car runs like a champ and there is nothing that will make you feel better than cruising around in it.
Very little work is required to completely restore this beauty of a car. I really hate to sell it, but I need the cash.
