Engine has just recieved 150k major service including fresh head surfacing, new timing chain, gaskets, alternator, wiper transmission... The works! This thing has at least another 100k left before the next major service ('cept 30k tranny services req.) New tires on the front were recently installed, rear tires have about 70% left.
I've been driving this car about 5-6k miles, and it is an absolute pleasure to drive. It has recieved an upgraded spring package that tightens up the handling without ANY harshness, as well as lowering the car a minimal ammount. Clear corner fixtures were added, which really make the front end look clean. You may see in the pictures a vent missing from the driver side front lip. I have this part brand new, just not installed when these pictures were taken.
And belive me... This thing is F-A-S-T. Matched 280 hp/torque
What do I want for this Euro Hot-rod? ... a 99-01 GC8. (give or take $1-$4k depending on condition) As much as I love this car, I still have about $10k in upgrades for a 2.5L engine, and subaru's are where my heart is. Without trade I'm looking at $14,500 for this beast.

The halt from 60 mph is completed in 114 ft, slightly longer than the M3 and C43, however from just 30 mph its 28 foot stopping distance is actually one foot better than the M3. Once the traction control has been swithced off the handling is also excellent with a 66.5 mph slalom run and a 0.87g rating on the skidpad. The interior is well appointed but quite tight but, hey, who really cares? Can't anybody do something about that darn price, though?

In response to emailed FAQ...
I had the pleasure of running into the Mercedes tech who serviced the vehicle for the previous owner. He said this car was constantly nit-picked to death, and you can tell by the condition externally, as well as mechanically, it was not neglected what-so-ever. Some may be worried about the milege, but know that it is not uncommon for a well maintained MB, (or other german mfr. cars) to see 300,000+ miles and still be purring.*
Heck, trade me for your $10k impreza + $2k, and sell this thing on ebay for $15k+ (I've seen less spectacular C36 models go for more) -- Why don't "I", you ask? Because this is one of the most luxurious cars I will probably ever own, and I'm enjoying it on a daily basis.
... But I want my turbo GC8 back in effect
* - I sell Import car parts for a living with a very good german parts distributor. Ask me about your Cost + 10% discount for as long as you own the vehicle.

I'll get some interior pics this weekend. My only access to a digi cam is my g/f. I'll post them up. But I can say, The interior is PERFECT. (Black leather) Minor crack in the small digital gauge for your interior temp control, but perfectly visable and no LED BLEEED.

yes I do. I could be in the sacramento area in two weeks... (moving this weekend) June 4th or 5th best for me. Lemme know if this would be a good time to "take a look".
