FS:87 turbo targa top supra basket case $2250 MI
87 targa top, 7mgte turbo inline 6 cylinder, Manual transmission Toyota supra.
I picked up a dark red 87 turbo supra that was running and moving but rusted out. I pulled the drive train and what ever else was good off of it and scrapped the rest. I then found a good condition body with a good interior. I am unsure of how many actual miles are on any of the parts involved. The car is complete but in bits. It shouldn’t take too much to get it running but its more involved than I want to get.
The body has very little rust, was repainted a few years ago, both front fenders were swapped out but never paint matched.
The interior is very nice, there are a few screw holes in the dash where some gauges were mounted, the front seats have rips in the bolsters, but other than that there are no major stains, no major discoloration.
The engine is taken apart to be rebuilt. I never had the cylinders or deck checked out, but was running when I pulled it.
Transmission was smooth but firm when I drove the car before parting it out.
Car is over 90% complete but the engine is out and disassembled, transmission is out of car but is not taken apart.
Additional parts for car
-extra steering column
-extra set of tail lights
-extra drive shaft
-extra LSD rear differential unit (casing, out drives, diff and all)
-extra interment cluster
-Items (electronic adjustable strut) cap motors
-New 20 over pistons, rings, pin set
-New ARP head studs
-New after market keyless entry system
-New oil pump
-New water pump
-New T4 turbo
-New custom down pipe
-New Tubular exhaust manifold
-custom intake manifold
-dented but still usable front mount intercooler (with piping, but no couplers)
This car would be perfect for some one that just wants to tinker around and have a hot fun summer driver.

(below picture is the worst of the visible rust)

I pulled the engine and trans from a running supra.
I knew that these engines were prone to blowing head gaskets.
So I bought nearly every thing brand new you need to rebuild it (even 20 over pistons).
I was going to buy a daily driver and keep this as a fun / project car, but found a firebird I had to have as a fun daily driver!
so the engine needs to be rebuilt
engine and trans needs to be installed and set up
and there are a fiew intirror panels that need to be installed...
nothing more than a month long project.
