Car Info: 2001 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS White Coupe
FS: 1977 Datsun 280Z in VA

Background: I purchased this beautiful car about 4 monthes ago from the previous owner in NC. I had planned to bring the car home with me to Oregon and drive it while in college to avoid a monthly car payment. Unfortunately the day before I flew home the Navy told me I wasn't authorized to ship a car. I was forced to leave the car with a trusted friend and arrange its sale. The information below is from the previous owners ad and is still accurate.

Year: 1977
Make: Datsun
Model: 280Z
Engine: 2.8 Litre Fuel Injected Inline 6
Transmission: 5 spd manual
Mileage: 119K

Suspension:
Tokico HP struts
Tokico 1" lowering springs
Autopower SCCA approved rollbar
MSA front strut bar
16"x7" Rota Slipstreams (13.5 lbs. each)
225/50/16 Kumho Ecsta 712's
Modern Motorsports Z to Honda wheel adapters

Power:
MSA CAI
16" Electirc fan

Interior:
Autometer Cobalt Fuel pressure gauge (pillar mounted) - CF gauge pod.
Autometer Sport Comp Water Temp & Oil pressure gauges (in stock gauges locations)

Maintenance:
Entire fuel systems replaced; Fuel tank, fuel pump, all fuel lines, injectors, FPR
New brake lines F&R
All underhood hoses and boots replaced with new OEM parts
New Air flow meter
All EFI sensors replaced
All electrical connections taken apart and thoroughly cleaned
Wiring harness re-wired and all fusible links replaced with modern blade fuses

Major parts replaced within the last 2 years:
Heater core
Brake booster
Water pump
Battery

Info:
Interior has been completely restored. Seats have been repadded and upolstered, new dash cap. Carpet WAS new, but looks little rough now due to some water leaks that have since been fixed.
All new weatherstripping was put in less than a month ago.
The car has AC, but doesn't currently function as it needs to be charged.
'77 was a non-catalyst year for the Z (original underhood sticker is still there to prove it) So this car has no cats, and should have no problem passing inspection in even the strictest counties. All factory EGR equipment is hooked up and functional.

Body condition is very good, very little rust (only one noteworthy spot on the front passenger fender - pictured below)
This vehicle only needs a little body work and a good paint job to be show worthy. It's already quite fast, and very reliable.

Parts:
New spark plugs
New oil filter
New fuel filter
New front brake pads
New stainless steel brake lines.

The car is currently with a trusted friend of mine in Newport News, VA. If you are interested and would like to see or drive the car please contact me and I will arrange a time for you.

Asking Price: $5,000 OBO.

Well when you seperate from the Navy you are authorized a final move back to your home of record. So the Navy moved my household goods and gave me a plane ticket home, when I got to the vehicle shipping center they said I was misinformed and wasn't authorized to ship a vehicle. I was pretty upset because I love the car and was looking forward to years of joy driving it.
