An STi can be a family car, that's what the 4 doors are for bro! Just don't romp on it while your family is in it and you should be fine. If i drive mine casually without boost, it's pretty economical, and that's with a 3" straight pipe cbe which is hella loud! It's just a car, do what you must, but don't give up on your first baby yet!
