1999 Impreza 2.5RS For Sale!
Hey all,
I'm selling my RS because I just bought another car. Here's the down and dirty about it.
I am located in Southeast Michigan, but I'd be more than willing to make a little roadtrip for someone who lived outside my area.
It's a 5 speed Rally Blue Pearl 99 Coupe with about 65,000 miles on it. I'd say 70% (maybe more) of those miles are highway, as the lady that I bought it from had a decent commute, and my commute is 30 miles each way, as well. It has the upgraded sound system with CD player & subwoofer and the Subaru security system. Err.... I think those are the only factory options. Oh, and the extended arm rest.
I'm the second owner of the car, but I bought it from a nurse in Indiana in November of 2001. She bought it new, so I know it didn't see any kind of hard driving before I bought it. I drive it pretty conservatively, most of the time, just because the police take interest in cars like these, and I like having a clean driving record. I do put it through it's paces at times (how could you not?), but it's never been to the track.
As far as it's condition goes, I've tried to keep it as well as I can. It has the requisite rock chips and a couple door dings that a 4 1/2 year old car would have (especially with Subaru's paint). But I wash it regularly and wax it every few months, and the interior is very clean. I change the oil about every 5000 miles and have used nothing but Amsoil fully synthetic. That oil is actually good for 25,000 miles or more, but it gets dirty waaaay before that.
I was about to give it another oil change soon, but recently, I replaced all the spark plugs with NGK's and it has a brand new set of Potenza RE950's (roughly 500-700 miles?), which I had installed at a race shop in Wixom, MI. Very cool place. I'll never go anywhere else. My only mods have been a Cuzco strut tower brace in front, a set of Magnecor spark plug cables, a K&N air filter (recently cleaned when I put in the new spark plugs and got new tires) for the first airbox and I replaced the filter in the second airbox with a gasket (official Subaru part). Oh, and I removed the snorkus and painted the front badge red. Umm, and I removed the amber inserts from the corner lights and painted the originally orange air vents black. Is that it...? Yeah. I think that's it.
Hmm... I might be leaving something out, but that gives you a good idea about the car. I've loved this car the entire time I've had it and I hate to get rid of it, but 2 car payments just aren't in my budget. My asking price is $12,000. I checked out Auto Trader and that seems to be the going rate for this car, as well.
My number is (734) 657-3480 if you're interested in it. Or feel free to PM or email me.
I'll try and post some pics later, but I don't have any right now...
Thanks a lot!
- Kevin.
