Thumbs up

Well...
From my experiance of driving both cars I would have to say that if you are looking for more luxury then the A4 is the way to go...the WRX isnt much of one for luxury. But, on the other hand if you are looking for a great, fast daily driver/weekend warrior....then the WRX is the one for you.
You probably will want to test drive both be4 u decide....
Hope this helps!

I was in the same boat as you a couple years ago. I was even considering other awd cars like the A6, 330iX, Volvo XC, and Outback.
If you want a car with more status that is on the heavier and cushier side, definitely go with the A4. Like others said, it is not fast. It also has a smaller back seat than my WRX wagon.
If you want a funky, Japanese econo box that goes like stink, get the WRX.
If you're willing to look at used cars, the S4 can be had with relatively low miles for a relatively good price due to the fact that a new S4 (with a V8 instead of twin turbo V6) is coming. My buddy just bought a silver 2001 with 28K miles. It came fully loaded with sport suspension, tint, DVD navigation and 6 speed for $32K. I had the oppurtunity to drive it and it definitely feels heavier than the WRX, but it is very capable and much smoother than the Sube.

Have fun shopping!

Exclamation

the new A4s look really nice
if your just looking for an AWD 4 door car and don't want to drag race like most of these new Subaru owners....get the Audi

damn u posted this everywhere didn't you? I saw it on bimmerforums as well the best place to go would be a honda board so u dont get a biased opinion..lol...bimmer owners are biased to audi's since they are german as well and ofcourse the people on here are going to be biased towards the subaru

If you're getting an a4 then it better be brand new. My friend barely got out alive with his a4 he bought used... a 99 mind you so not horribly old. That thing cost him more money than he will ever care to mention.

A subaru on the other hand it entirely reliable and should the rare fault happen with it... it's not going to be half as expensive to fix as the a4 for the same thing. Plus the wrx is faster and more fun to drive.
