Why so much hate for the SRT-4?

I love all cars. There is always someone better than you so I don't disrespect anyone or anycar. Every car group has douche asses. In end end it's a car. Have fun in it & these days save gas.
My srt is fast, but I don't really talk about it. It is setup as a road course car, but fast everywhere else as well. For the money, it's tough to find something comprable. I have to commute 70 miles a day & the srt was the cheapest "fun to drive" car I could find. I have really enjoyed it since 2003. Actually my 2nd one. I bought a white 05 last year & just swapped the parts off the 03. Got the 05 cheap & it is still a fun commuter with great performance when I want it. Subies kick *** & are wonderful, just different. I probably would have got one back in 03, but they were about $5k more & the Sti wasn't out yet. I'll probably keep commuting in the srt with an occasional NASA/SCCA track day here & there for at least another year. Then it will be time to explore other options.
I get the disdain about the "typical srt owner". The challenge is most are young & can afford a cheap car that can be fast. Most of them don't know crap & talk way too much just making everyone look stupid.

I'm only 36. Lol
Just for clarification. The WRX/Subaru is better at some things. The srt is better at some things. I am a fan of both cars. The fact that I know everything there is to know about the srt would make me lean that direction. If I could find a wrx setup as well as my srt for the same money I would love to have the wrx & AWD.
