just great the cheapest gas in town is at an exxon station. the next cheapest gas in town is at a mobile station. if i by the more expensive gas will that mean the mobile and exxon will have to raise prices to cover the loss in sales volume? if i go to no name stations aren't they geting their gas from the big companys?
when we were paying under a dollar for gas my wife bought her 72 bmw 2002 for under $7000 with a few dealer performance parts added.( she still has it and we drive it on sunny days). now what is the price of a bmw today? what is the price of a movie ticket? what is the price of milk? what is the price of electricity? homes?
in 72 what were the gas companys required to add to the gas to keep the greenies happy. now most states required that the storage tanks be replaced, a cost to the local idependent gas dealers that drove a lot of them out of bussines.
yes i do not like the gas price to go up but it's still a bargain when adjusted to 72 dollars. and do not forget that the tax on gas has gone up % wise more than the base price of the gas.
