Early '90s Vector W8. Twin turbo V-8 with 600hp or so, as stated above. $427,000, so hugely expensive. Lots of aircraft construction technology used, like riveted panels and the like. They only built 22 of them or so, Andre Agassi bought chassis number 14A. First chapter ended bizarrely with the company going into receivership in 1995, and then owner Jerry Weigart barracaded himself inside the factory when the eviction man came in 1995. Company was then bought by an Indonesian firm called V'power, which was then a majority stakeholder in Lamborghini. They got lambo engines to be supplied for the car (the W12), and it got a styling update if you can call it that. Audi then bought Lamborghini, nixed the engine deal, and V'power backed out. Another company, Tradelink International Limited, picked up the ball and had a few more W12s, made, but in the end a Corvette engined version was on the drawing board for 2000, but was stillborn.
