From a dead stop:
Can't beat stock for stock: stock WRX vs. Stock other cars
Camaro's and Firebird/Trans Am with 350 V8's
Mustang Cobras
Someone mentioned a Buick Grand National GNX: 0-60 in 4.6 secs
I'm not sure about the older Monte Carlo SS, but it will smoke the new SS.
How about the Ford Lightning?
Will outrun stock:
A WRX will beat a Mustang GT 5.0 or 4.6L
It will outrun RSX type S' and the Preludes
It will outrun AWD GSX's.
These are from my witnessed personal experiences.

WRX kicks ***
are you crazy???the cars that u said a WRX can beat were all ****ty hondas, i dont know about you other wussie WRX drivers, but i beat RSX's, and smoke GT mustangs, (even a hooked up 5.0), Eclipse GSX turbo awd, i've made lunch out of them, i've torn up BMW 3 class, and porche boxters...my point is you must suck at racing, me, i just bought a new ACT heavy duty organic clutch because my stock one is burned up and slipping, i also purchased "Greenstuff" brake pads, im at 27,000miles and have had my WRX since june of 2001. my question is, the stock boost runs at 13.5psi and i bought the turbo xs dual stage boost controller, how much should i raise the psi to? since i can switch between two preset boost levels (in the cockpit with a fighter jet style switch) i wil keep one at 13.5 for regular driving, but want to set it higher for when i race, im thinking 2psi wouldnt hurt, anybody out there know what a good psi level is under full boost?
thanks mate...

I'm a even-tempered person, so, those stupid remarks you just made don't bother me, and I have learned to ignore people like you who make no sense. One word of advice Mr. "I have only posted in two (2) forums," calm down or your not going to make any friends within the I-club community. Welcome aboard

fast cop car
In my little town we used to have a built Caprice that would top out at 180 mph. I think the rest of the Crown Victoria's would top out around 130 mph with a modified 4.6L. I'm sure this will differ from town to town city to city. I know FL has Mustangs and Camaros as some of their cop cars.
I'm not sure about 1/4 mile times. If I had to guess I would guess high 13s and low 14s. The built crown vic. that was here would probably easily run in the 12s.

I know a guy that has a Comaro 350 lt1 that has been worked mated with a 6speed tranny. I know that I can smoke his a$$ he tries to beat me everysingle time that he can. He just barely edges me in the straight line but if anyone has been to north cantral pa they would know that we have a hard time finding a 1/8 mile of straight road. My point is that you can't beat a Suby!! when it comes down to handling and traction. The only car that even slightly comes close is my friends talon tsi. he can almost stay with me on a dirt road

Outrun a built Camaro 350?
Stock 1994 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 (LT1/350) with a Manual transmission
1/8 mile: 8.484 @ 84.080 mph
1/4 mile: 13.144 @ 106.150 mph
Stock Trans AM's/Camaro's with the 5.7L 350 come stock running mid to low 13's. If you can outrun him, then either you are highly modified or he can't drive a lick, or the race took place in the pouring rain. Something just isn't right there. Nonetheless, it must be fun eating a Camaro owner for lunch .

My car has an EJ22T, but it probably helps that he is a couple of crumps short of a cookie. It does feel very good to spank him, but I have a lot of respect for american iron especially the Comaro it has been around for a long time and still makes a statement.

we have a lot of smartmouth cameros here in tennessee and its so sad to see them half a track behind me. I mean honestly I love cameros but this is really getting old, they should be looking back at me. These are the nice cameros too, not the ****ty ones. My dad has a 1969 Z28 that looks like it has never been driven, inside and out. Im surprised he lets me drive it sometimes, but I just love the rumble of that 302 at my foot and the feel of that hurst 4-speed in my hand. damn Im shivering just thinking about it.
