damn what year car of the subaru are they looking at? and wow depreciation goes down that much? and is this on a yearly basis?

it doesn't say what MY the stats are based on, but I think the figures (repairs/maint) are based on a 5-year period?

i guess that seems fair even though if it were to go back 5 years the only models were the MY02-03 and the GC8 impreza's... since they didnt say wrx or sti...

I believe it. After brakes, 30/60/90k services, gas, a tranny or 2. i totally buy it.

Ha ha. Not surprised to se 4 MBZs at the top of the list. When I worked at an MBZ dealership, even the service writers (who make enough to buy a new middle grade MBZ yearly) joked about how buy a Benz weas a bad idea. I remember one red CLK350 that, after sitting around on the lot for 6-8 months, consistently came in and out for service/repairs/finishing touches/etc. every two weeks at least for about two months. You get what you pay for.

The basic Impreza was labeled as one of the top 10 value packed cars...This doesnt include the WRX or STI I suppose, but still, I think that first article is far from the truth. Check it out:
