This gets my vote for funniest post of the year so far.
I told my two friends from work (who are both women) about the SRT-4(or as i called it to them that fast turbo charged neon) lacking power windows and then your response and even they cracked up.
If that's not worthy of a :banana: I don't know what is.

 

personally, I've owned one dodge (dakota) not one problem in 3 years. I traded it in for the wrx, a completely different machine. For the people that said there are no respectable aftermarket manufacturers making parts...MOPAR is pretty damn respectable when it comes to making power. From my experience, Dodge are not the cheapest cars to modify. Parts are few and far between (unless you go mopar) and pretty damn expensive because most mopar parts are available through dealerships.

back to the original topic "SRT-4 people are funny" yes, but mainly because they are a younger crowd (even younger than wrx owners) an SRT-4 is a great car, not just for the price, but all around. it performs, it handles and its cheap. it doesnt look too bad on the outside, the FMIC looks mean. the only downfall is the "domestic" interior. I'm not one to bash other cars, if its fast it deserves respect. If I had the opurtunity to own an SRT-4 when I was 16 I would have been in heaven. I worked for all of my cars, including my first car (65 cadillac) and moved up from there. I see a lot of "cocky" kids driving these cars thinking they're invincible. Yes your car is fast, but you lack experience and will likely hurt yourself and most likely somebody else if you race your car like they do in the magazines. tests were done to see how fast it is, but come on making 13 sec cars in the price range for a teenager...thats a little too much.

Dodges turbo reliability has not been the best (blown head gaskets, etc) but Shelby turbo cars like the almighty Omni are still monsters to this day. For a car to be this cheap, shortcuts were taken somewhere along the line. Ive read the SRTforums.com website and the "problems" section in the forums is very concerning.

I love my wrx and I'm probably bias, but I would also love to drive an SRT-4...I just wouldnt buy the SRT-4 if I had the choice. the wrx has been tested and proven, the EJ20T is an amazing motor and almost limitless if you want to modify it.

Too much bashing on this thread learn to be car enthusiasts, dont hate!

here is what I think, I love any car that goes fast, but *******s who cant respect cars other than their own make me sick. Its just a matter of preference, I got a WRX because of the awd, not for racing, but for ease in the snow. I love the mountains, I go all the time and the conditions I encounter sometimes would be impossible with fwd. I have caught the drag racing disease and in the last year I've gone from 175whp (stock, correct me if im wrong) to 405whp, but I still respect everyone elses cars.

 

one more thing, I went to a charity race a few months ago met a very nice srt-4 owner. He also had his viper there that ran a 5.1@ 139mph. It was supercharged, propane injected, and running a 250 shot of nitrous. the only time he got kinda frustrated was when I smoked his buddies supercharged viper, but we were all hangin out in the pits the entire day. It also makes me mad when people talk s@#t about hondas. I admit there are alot of ricy ones, but there are some ugly wrxs too. And how many wrxs have ran a 6 in the 1/4
