saw an LHD Evo 7 on San Gabriel Blvd. in LA toda
looks like a Stock Evo 7 prolly imported from Evolution Import.
i almost drooled....
those are the real babies..
RS II LHD
w/ ACD and AYC.
white one w/ silver rims..
clearly saw the italic Evolution VII on the back alone w/ that
infamous wing..

Manufacturers tend to give conservative performance estimates of their cars (remember when SoA said the WRX would do 0-60 in 6.4sec?) but that sounds about right given the 5-speed, 270 HP and 3100 or so lbs. I bet one of the mags gets it down to 13.5-13.6 by absolutely beating the hell out of the transmission.

Turbonaim the ones they import is not the us version, hence the better numbers, evo SEVEN is from overseas, and evo EIGHT is what we get here, the slightly watered down version

Man, the Evo VIII is such a mutt. I hope someone makes body kits to convert the snout of the VIII to a VII look. The first time I saw the STi with its 4-foot-high nostril, I thought to myself "Jesus Herbert Walker Christ, that thing is ugly. I'd rather get an Evo VIII." Then I saw pictures of the VIII and thought, "uh, forget I said that." Then I heard the STi will spit out 300HP and 300lb-ft and decided I could deal with a 4-foot-high nostril for those figures. Still, I wonder why they couldn't shape the hood and nostril to look more like the WRC hood/nostril. It looks much better IMO.
Why is it when we finally get the cool cars they look like horse's ***?

...now tell me why they couldn't do something like the WRC hood for our STi, eh?
