Saab 9-2X....0-60 in 6.5 secs only?

if you look in road'n'tracks vehicle specs at the back of the magazine (1-2 pages where every current production vehicles test numbers are listed) the 0-60 time they have for the wagon is 6.4. however, there is an asterix next to that number that signifies that the vehicle tested was an automatic. the common rule of thumb is every additional 100lbs adds another tenth of a second, so a 5 speed wagon should be around 5.5 secs to 60. believe me, i made sure the wagon was NOT slower before i bought one.

Yeah, I suppose so. Thanks for the reply. I just hope they keep the gearing exactly the same as in the WRX. Any taller and you'll see a different 0-60 and 1/4 mile time.

Perhaps the consumers looking at this car isn't the typical WRX-typed buyers. However, I think those who yearn the WRX performance but still prefer a sportier body style would be willing to pay for this car. I hope the wagon as a Saab looks ok.

The only other car I'm looking at will be the Golf R32 if it ever makes it. My only problem is even if I like the car, whether I'll actually want to pay $30K for a so-called "Golf". Not to mention, it's still on the Mark IV chassis. Any why the 18" wheels? Anyway...that's for a different topic.
