^^^same here. but here in hawaii i c alot of cars that has roll cage.

In California, as long is does not obstruct the view in or out of the car it is legal. So cross members in the back window are a no go. But remember if you get hit your head is gonna hit something, it is gonna be that metal pipe you installed in your car !

In Maine or Hawaii it may be more leniant. Cheers

Yeah, unless you wear harnesses and a helmet all the time, I wouldn't want a cage in your daily driver.

A roll bar may be a better option for you, as long as you're not carrying rear seat passengers. It would give you rollover protection without intruding into the front cabin space, and you wouldn't have to worry about hitting your head.

Unless you competing in serious race events such as NASA or Club Rally, there shouldn't be a need for a full on roll cage.
