anyone spied the proposed Saab 9-2X? how can they live with themselves trying to pass off a WRX 5 door as a saab? they didnt even bother to change anything except the bumber and the emblems. sweet deal for subaru though:
Saab-"Okay we want to give you a billion dollars to build us a car.......on second thought just give us your Rex 5 door and we'll call it ours."
Subaru-"Sounds good. CHAA-CHIING"

GM owns major portions of saab and fugi heavy industries. I think the 9-2 being a re-skinned WRX was completely obvious and what they were going after. It's a good platform.

doesn't look too bad... but :sigh: I kind of disappointed that saab is biting off subaru.....
when i saw those altezza-like lights on stock altimas... i was pretty disgusted.

As I have said in all these posts...
DONT HATE ON SAAB! Saab is basically a finger puppet of GM. All desisions for Saab are made by the high up bastards at GM who are ruining a GREAT brand. Everything Saab stands for is being ruined by GM... safety (i.e new 9-3... which pisses me off to no end because Saab safety saved my father and I from injury when a Ford F150 hit us rear end when we were stoped and he was going 55), uniqueness (sp?)(all these are based on, or in the 9-2x's case is another GM owned car.) and quality (compare a 9-5 to a new 9-3... you will IMEDIATELY feel the diffrence)
So basically GM! (i know a lot of their old cars are kick *** but still... more TODAYS GM)

i'm not ******* saab or saying it's not a good looking car (especialy being that it looks almost identical to the rex), in fact i came damn close to buying an '02 9-3 hatch before i got into my WRX. what i am saying is how are you going to have subaru build you a car with the exact specs as one already in production, change the emblems and call it innovation? suppose i snatched up a skyline, slapped "grycoleman" on the back and mass marketed it, do you think i would be taken seriously?

A good portion of the American public is not that car saavy.
I have heard many arguments about how a Camaro is better than a Trans Am , not realizing that they are the SAME car. Gm is just playing these fools and laughing all the way to the bank.
