Yeah, it does seem that NASCAR forgot its road racing roots right from the beginning. Maybe that's because oval track racing, whether with horses or cars, seems to be easier to organize. Makes betting easier, too.
That makes for an interesting prospect, though. What if NASCAR ran modified stockers from say, the mountains of Tennesee to downtown Atlanta on a route like the ones followed during the moonshining days? Make it round trip with several hundred pounds of extra weight on the first leg to simulate the load of white lightning. I guess I'd be a NASCAR fan if they did.

I'd be a fan then too. Especially since the optimal car for that type of thing might be a Subaru WRC car.

Seriously, I thought the same exact thing when I saw that episode Meilers! I loved how they double-side taped the headlight covers on. But if you think about it, some ppl are into things like that; WTH are they thinking?!?!?!

I think "Ricer" is just another typical stereotype of how white people perceive another race. It's funny, and since you think you're losing your country to all my *****'s,ricers, wops and beaners i guess you'll always live in fear in this new millenium. Oh and one more thing. Since i'm asian and black i guess me and my car should be called "Black Rice". I'm glad Tiger Woods took over your sport..."Rice Golf" Anyone? Trick made sucka's...

a civic with full body kit, "chromy wheels",APC windshield banner, and a fart pipe, that's a ricer.....

LOL you're an *** and that's coming from a ***, not some "white guy" if it makes you feel better.
Minor Threat->Slayer:
I'm sorry
For something I didn't do
Lynched somebody
But I didn't know who
You blame me
For slavery
A hundred years before I was born
Guilty of being white
I'm convicted
Of a racist crime
I've only served
19 years of my life
Guilty of being white
Guilty of being right
NOFX-Don't call me white:
Don't call me white, Don't call me white
Don't call me white, Don't call me white
The connotations wearing my nerves thin
Could it be semantics generating the mess we're in?
I understand that language breeds stereotype
But what's the explanation for the malice, for the spite?
Don't call me white, Don't call me white
Don't call me white, Don't call me white
I wasn't brought here, I was born
Circumcised, categorized, allegiance sworn,
Does this mean I have to take such ****
For being fairskinned? No!
I ain't a part of no conspiracy,
I'm just you're average Joe.
Don't call me white, Don't call me white
Don't call me white, Don't call me white
Represents everything I hate,
The soap shoved in the mouth to cleanse the mind
The vast majority of sheep
A buttoned collar, starched and bleached
Constricting veins, the blood flow to the brain slows
They're so ****in' ordinary white
Don't call me white, Don't call me white
Don't call me white, Don't call me white
We're better off this way
Say what you're gonna say
So go ahead and label me
An ******* cause I can
Accept responsibility, for what I've done
But not for who I am
Don't call me white, Don't call me white
Don't call me white, Don't call me white
Don't call me white, Don't call me white
