my car was totaled, so what now?

well, a coupl months ago, and older lady ran a red light and totaled my car, as well as the truck that was next to me.

now that i have settled in at school, i've decided to start shopping for a new car, but im not sure what to buy anymore. the wrx was dream car, but after buying it there were a few things that i didn't like. first off, is that it is pretty exspensive to mod. i had a catless tbe system, but was told that real power needed tuning, which can get pretty exspensive. also the tranny doesn't like abuse and how subaru of america usually won't fix it for you. then theres the paint chipping issue.

don't get me wrong, i still loved the car. it was extremely quick off the line and sounded great with the blitz nur-spec and helix dp, but i think i want something different.

what would you reccomend? i need something that is the same or cheaper then a wrx, but i still want to the have a reasonably fast car. i've heard some good things about the neon srt-4. i've read from a couple different sources that they dyno at 220-230 hp to the wheels? and that an average driver will pull low to mid 14's. anyone race one here race one yet? only a couple things that kind of bug me about it is that it's fwd and the two windows in the rear are not power. oh well, let me know what you guys think. the only other thing is that im looking for a new car. i plan on leasing it becaus i own my own business and can use it as a tax right off.

Be thankful you weren't in an SRT-4 when you got hit in that intersection. Have you seen the safety ratings on that car? I love the WRX and would stick with it, personally.
