Somehow got into this debate on another board, but found out some interesting info. All these comparasons are with a manual vehicles. Mustang GT 260hp 302 ft/lbs of torque, Mach I 305hp/320 ft/lbs, SVT supercharged 385hp/390 ft/lbs. WRX 227hp/217 ft/lbs, STi 300/300. Power to weight ratio for GT is 12.71lbs per hp, Mach I is 11.37lbs to a horse, and Cobra is 9.40lbs a horse. Subaru WRX is 13.59lbs for each horse and the STi is 10.88lbs to each hp. Cobra is ahead of the STi in torque to weight ratio by .04ft/lbs. According to Road and Track, 0-60 the WRX beats the GT by .3 seconds, ironically the STi beats the Mach I by .3 seconds and takes the same ammount of time as the SVT with 4.9 seconds. The GT ran the 1/4 in 14.7@96, loosing to the WRX at 14.4@95.4mph. The SVT cobra runs a 13.3 1/4 mile while the STi ran the exact same time. In SVT/STi comparasons it is going to be a driver vs. driver race. Subaru's top dog runs next to Fords with 85 hp less, and 90 ft/lbs less. Subaru obviously whoops on all the N/A fords. STi STronger than most people expected.

You are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off on the new Supercharged Cobras. It's more like 385hp 390 torque. I'm not exactly sure on the numbers but I do know you are WAY off.

Ok I found the numbers on the 03 Cobra. This is directly from www.fordsvt.com.

torque-390 at 3500 rpms
boost-8psi
84.8 hp per liter
displacement-4601cc
compression ratio-8.5-1
final drive-3.55 gears
