Haha, I'm just eff-in' around... Seriously though, you've made some interesting posts, with good facts backing them... Rock on!

MYTH BUSTED
if rpms > idle speed, and tps = 0, then idc = 0

i don't care what your scangauge says, my wideband tells me what's actually at the tailpipe.

ride5000, care to define tps=0 and idc=0, so that we can all benifit from this information?

tps = throttle position sensor, basically % of opening angle
idc = injector duty cycle, percentage of injector "on" time vs. total possible injector on time.

this closed throttle enleanment may also be validated with an egt sensor... find a very long downhill and you will see egts drop to temps far below idle egts. mine have dropped to ~400*F on occasion.

there is one caveat to the closed throttle enleanment conditions--if rpms are above the oem ecu's transition point from closed to open loop operation then fuel will continue to flow. this tends to hasten the cooling off of the chambers after hard driving. on my bugeye ecu this rpm point is ~5500 rpms.

Hmmm... now I have to figure out how to consolodate this data. Apparently fuel is not burning...

So then why does the injector duty still show flow if EGT shows coolin? Maybe a "would be" duty?
