modding my new 03 wrx
I just totalled my 02 mustang gt and recieved 20 grand for It. I then went out and bought an 03 subaru wrx. I have some money and im not so sure what to do to the car to keep it reliable yet fast. I know you guys know what your talking about, so please give me some help in this new world of four cylinders. If anyone lives in Los angeles maybe you could give me th names of some race shops. Thanks Mike!

Until someone who really knows what they're doing chimes in, I'll just say that I was a newbie back in April when I bought my 03, and got some great advice here. Virtually everyone recommended starting with the exhaust system and wheels. So I swapped out the up-pipe with a catless STi version (Ralli-Spec), $340 w/shipping, got an Invidia catless downpipe ($387 w/shipping), & a GReddy Evolution catback muffler (I think from MVP, $553 with shipping). Also got Rota subzero tires (17", $545) and 215/45 ContiExtremeContact all-season performance tires ($90 ea). Big help!
I also got Perrin front & rear swaybars ($450 with shipping).
To cap it off, I got a Cobb Stage II reflash ($405 w/shipping) while I was out of the country, and installed it upon return. Wow!
From what I understand, I guess I should be at something like 280 turbine HP right now- by adding up the estimates of the boost from the various mods I've already done.
I'm trying to decide what to do next- I'm gonna ask again of the group.
