before i bought my Impreza which is 1600 CC i was thinking of buying Renault Megan which is also 1600 cc but 115 HP compared to my Impreza 95 HP. I said no Impreza will surly handle much better then the Megan. yesterday i was racing with a Megan and we reached a corner where i usually take it on 120 KM/H and i feel that this is the maximum of the Impreza in this corner, i found that the Megan also is just behind me and he did not slow down at all. can any one tells me How did the FWD Megan get so close to the AWD Impreza?

Your Location field in your member Profile is not filled out but while we appreciate your participation on i-Club, I should perhaps mention that it is primarily a message board that caters to Subaru Impreza owners in North America, mainly the U.S. and Canada.

While your Impreza model sounds similar to the older Impreza L, I have no idea what a Renault Megan is because Renault vacated the U.S. market many years ago.

Keep in mind also that good driving style can turn a mediocre car's performance into something salvageable so it's hard to say why an Impreza cannot take a certain corner faster than another car. I don't know your suspension modifications, alignment settings, or level of driving experience.

Waw ............. 1.6 impreza ! where do you live ! In the GCC

there are lots of facts, the megan is lighter than the impreza, better brakes, and maybe better driver :P
the 1.6 dosen't have RSB, and very weak engine.


If I have that car I would spend some money on the suspenssion.
