If I had no kids and lived in a place with no snow Corvette Z06. If kids were in the picture caddy CTS-V (the Z06 in a business suite). And if I lived in a place with ****ty weather a 911 Turbo (they have AWD right?)

I think i would go with a 04 STI With all the mods I ever wanted lol, personally I would rather have a STI, S2000, My old Civic hatch with whatever i wanted on it (engine swap 10 second car etc.), or a AE86 over some fancy smancy fast car. I dunno that's just me.

My pick would be the PORSCHE TURBO w/ the XD50 package. Turbo boxer engine (sounds familiar), AWD (deja vu), 450 hp (tunable to 700+ hp), and the history behind the car. What's not to like??

The McLaren will overheat on almost every daily drive. Check out the R&T test from like 97-98. Those cars can only do one thing well, hardly the car you'd want for the rest of your life. The GT-R34 V-Spec on the other hand, I'm not sure. Anyone who really knows, tell me the minuses to this car, because I'd really like to know. How is it really as a driver? In Japan they can only be sold at 280 hp correct?

Actually forget it, I want a 959 end of story. That car was built in 1987 and still outperforms almost every car built today, and it is reliable as a daily driver. I rest my case.

Monkey, I think Japanese law prevents cars from being over 276hp or else I think the manufacturer has to pay a penalty fee. But from what I understand manufacturers will simply claim 276 even if their cars are making more power.

2004 Lingenfelter 427 Twin Turbo (1100 hp) Corvette Z06 Commemerative edition. 0-60 in 1.7 sec, top speed of 226mph. Total cost $107,315 plus tax.
Or
1960 Corvette with Lingenfelter 427 C5R block (550hp/550tq). Total cost $26,500 (motor) and another $100,000 in upgrades.
Both cars would require HRE wheels and Baer or Brembo's.
