Hauling the Family
I drive an Outback, and I use it for a lot of errands taking the spouse and kids (and kids' friends) around town.
But I still have a lot of fun with it as a five-speed funwagon.
It cracks me up when I'm winding down through the gears, and setting up into a curve, and in the corner of my eye I see all my passengers thrashing around in unison like the dummies in that airliner crash test footage.
I love to drive.

On the way to daycare in the AM they installed two small roundabouts that were ment to slow people down (unless you own a Subaru ) My kids go Weeeeee as I go through them. They don't thrash around though because they are strapped in tight

this has nothing to do with kids, but i think you can tell a lot about how people drive their cars by whats in the cabin and trunk. i worked an RS one day (sti struts/springs, cobb cai, headers, cat back, 22mm r. sway bar) and there was nothing in the car. any little things were in the little dash holder. his 10" sub was literally strapped into the trunk with a ratchet strap! how much do you hate going into a corner and having crap fly all over your car! espicially kids! thats the worst! lol

I agree, if you look inside my car there is nothing anywhere that can fly around. Everything is either put away or secure. I hate things dangleing from the rear view mirror too. Nothing worse than having stuff flying around the car. What amazes me is how I see cars with speakers just sitting on the rear shelf just wedged in there. You almost wish they would rear end someone so they would get wacked in the back of the head with one...

on a side note about speakers... having worked in a garage with a wrecker service, i saw many cars from accidents. one honda had a dual 12" sub box in his trunk. the force from the head on collision not only pushed the whole fire wall into where his legs where, but smashed the sub box right through the rear seats. it was laying right behind the drivers seat. the driver survived with two broken legs, cracked ribs, broken wrist, and a torn up thigh. not a pretty site. one more reason i wouldn't put a 100lb speaker box behind me...

strapped
Along similar lines, I used to hang out with a headstrong guy who refused to wear a seatbelt anyime. I never felt good about driving him someplace because I didn't want to be the one to tell his wife "well you know how he never wore a belt..."
