Engine Swap in my 85' Pickup
http://www.cardomain.com/id/super_mut
Just throwing the idea around, I'm obsessed with Subaru but funds are an issue, if I just buy a WRX motor and swap it into my 85' pickup what you guys think of that...I frankly think its a little insane and please don't flame me for this, just an idea ... oh and my truck looks pretty clean for an 85' hehe : )

Whats the motor code? SR20's are pretty common in KA24 equipped hardbodies. The transmission would be the big hurdle. 4g63's in mighty max's are common as well. I'd say sell the nissan and get a turbo brat, then swap in an ej20

I have an 86 Toy pickup 2wd, and I have been considering doing a motor swap as well, but the problem is that the 22r engine in the car refuses to die!
I did a search on google for "22r performance" and there is a company dedicated to rebuilding the 22r engine (originally rated at 96hp) and building it up to maybe a 2.5L monster with 250hp! That would probably be the best bet as they just build up a stock motor for a couple hundred bucks and it still uses 2wd or 4wd where necessary. Good luck!

I have a Subaru WRT Sticker on it since I removed the old *** ugly tinting hehe, I might as well wait because I am gonna have my RS before X-mas. 00 to 01 HOPEFULLY. Oh also how am I going to turbo my truck anyways I run that old *** Datsun 720 Motor (its a nissan too hehe) ? Theres really no point cause my car gets no torque whatsoever, its so annoying to drive it around the hills where I live, I can only go up to 45 MPH on 4th Gear FLOORING the damn thing when going up the hill to school and half way up the hill normally since I don't floor it I get up to 35 MPH on 3rd Gear, its pathetic thats why the RS 2.5 is gona be mine before X-mas : )
