Question BMW330xi vs. STI

Okay I am stuck. I am really not sure which one on shoud get. A 02 BMW330XI or a 04/05 STI. Other than the obvious HP difference which one do you think I should get?

Well, if you want a performace car, get the STi... if you want a pseudo luxury car, get the BMW.

STi = Faster, handles better, better value

BMW = More expensive, but you get a bigger name and less performance.

Chicks prefer BMWs to Subarus for some odd reason. BMWs feel more expensive, but an STi will leave a much larger smile on your face and won't dent your wallet so badly.

Yeah, I know. I was going for a bit more comfort as well. but I found out you can put a supercharger on there with 8psi for like 5gs. Can't do that to a Subaru yet. If I did get the BMW, I still would love Subaru's though.

Basically, it comes down to whether you want to go fast, or drive a "nice" car.

Why would you want to get a supercharger for the STi?! Go to Vishnu and pay $2,000 to get about 400whp out of your STi. No one will be able to touch you really...

Even with the supercharger... the BMW STILL isn't faster than the STi... straight or turning.

The STi also has a variable center diff... BMW... DOESNT! haha.

I wouldn't say that it's as "nice" as a brand new 3 series.

well the bmw would be a 2002 330 something. I know the STI is faster but the BMW is more comfortable. I like the look of the STI but on car domain they be kitten the hell out of those cars. Plus I know a BMW with navigation but I have heard some people say it wasn't that great. But around here in DC it is better than nothing.

huh? Do you mean body kits?

I would take the STi for sure. I don't use my car to pick up chicks though. Regardless, it's comfortable inside, the interior is pretty nice (especially on the '05s), it looks good, it outperforms the BMW in every way. It might be a little louder on the inside but who cares?
