from what i hear. . . They will release the Infinity Skyline, with a V8 naturally aspirated motor, and AWD*. it will also be available in Automatic, making it the first auto skyline ever.
Nissan will be releasing the GT-R, which will be powered by a V6 twin turbo, (i think) also with AWD. But only in 6spd.
*im acutally not sure if the Infinity Skyline will be RWD or AWD.
but im positive the GT-R will by AWD.

I tend to doubt it. The V6/I6 twin turbo wars of the late 80s and 90s are gone, and manufacturers are replacing them with cheaper, bigger deplacement, less tuneable engines. The 350Z is thus far only NA, the S4 is NA, the Stealth R/T and 3000GT VR-4 are dead and gone, and the new Supra will be an NA V8 (if it even makes it over here, I haven't seen a definite on that).

you forgot the n/a rx-8 also...things are so bad though....one manufacturer will release a turbo version w/ a very tunable engine...and the market will probably explode. the wrx, STi, evo, srt-4, and the new saturn ion redline are all turbocharged. and that's just a handful of the turbocharged new cars

Of course. My point was just that another 6-cylinder turbo, twin turbo. or rotary twin turbo war is something I don't think we'll be seeing again (I also left out the 300ZX TT, and rumors are abounding about another RX-7 turbo, but that hardly constitutes a war). As prices got up to $40-50K, they priced themselves out of range for their potential buyers. Turbos will always be around, of course, and subcompact turbos are definitely the big rage in the US now. Prices are very reasonable, too. My $0.02.
